Nowadays, high-quality LED emergency lighting recessed systems are indispensable for the safety of yourself or others. Recessed emergency lighting ensures that everyone can exit the building as quickly and safely as possible during an emergency. Additionally, the use of LED recessed emergency lighting fixtures, such as emergency bulkhead lights and LED bulkhead lighting, helps to keep everyone calm and prevents potential chaos.

Compliant with European Standards

Moreover, not all types of LED recessed emergency lighting systems can be used interchangeably. International agreements have established specific requirements that recessed emergency lighting must meet, including light intensity, safety symbols, and the installation of emergency lighting systems. All the LED recessed emergency lighting fixtures in our range, including LED bulkheads and EM bulkheads, comply with European standards and requirements. Some examples include:

• The NEN-EN 1835 standard addresses the photometric requirements for recessed emergency lighting. An LED recessed emergency light must provide the correct light intensity, ensure even light distribution, and prevent glare.

• The NEN-EN ISO 7010 standard specifies the requirements for the escape route pictogram, also known as the fire exit sign or exit signage, depicted on the LED recessed emergency lighting. The escape route pictogram, or emergency exit sign, must conform to the symbol outlined in the NEN ISO 7010 standard.

• The NEN 3011 standard, a precursor to the ISO 7010 standard, has been largely superseded by ISO 7010. The NEN 3011 now only includes symbols not included in ISO 7010.

• The NEN-EN 50171 standard defines the general requirements for emergency lighting systems with central power supply, including minimum battery voltage, charging current, and the output current of the battery charger. This includes emergency lamps with battery or emergency lamp batteries.
