Quality LED surface-mounted emergency lighting fixtures have become indispensable for ensuring the safety of you and your personnel. Surface-mounted emergency lighting ensures that everyone can exit the building as quickly and safely as possible during an emergency. Additionally, the use of LED emergency lighting fixtures helps to keep everyone calm and prevents potential chaos.

Compliant with All European Standards

Moreover, not all types of LED surface-mounted emergency lighting fixtures are suitable. International agreements have been made regarding the requirements that surface-mounted emergency lighting must meet. These include light intensity, safety symbols, and the installation of the emergency lighting. All LED surface-mounted emergency lighting systems in our range comply with European standards and requirements. Examples include:

• The NEN-EN 1835 standard addresses the photometric requirements that surface-mounted emergency lighting must meet. An LED emergency lighting surface-mounted system must provide the correct light intensity, ensure even light distribution, and prevent glare.

• The NEN-EN ISO 7010 standard describes the requirements for the emergency exit signage depicted on the LED emergency lighting surface-mounted unit. The emergency exit sign must conform to the symbol in the NEN ISO 7010 standard and ensure clear and visible exit signage.

• The NEN 3011 standard precedes the ISO 7010 standard. Most symbols from the NEN 3011 standard have been incorporated into ISO 7010. The NEN 3011 standard now only contains symbols not included in ISO 7010.

• The NEN-EN 50171 standard defines the general requirements for emergency lighting systems with central power supplies. It specifies that the power supply unit must describe the minimum battery voltage, charging current, and output current of the battery charger.
