A LED floodlight, often referred to as a LED spotlight, is a (construction) lamp that typically offers a high light output. Given the amount of light output these LED floodlights provide, they are highly energy-efficient.
A LED floodlight can be used in various ways. In most situations, LED floodlights are used around homes, construction sites, commercial buildings, sports fields, (farm)yards, riding arenas, and more. They are also popular as outdoor security lights due to their reliability and brightness.
If you're looking for a LED floodlight, Lightexpert.co.uk is the right place for you. We offer a wide range of LED floodlights, including options suitable as security lights for outside. Our range includes various LED floodlights with different wattages. For example, we have LED Floodlights of 10W (replacing 90W), 20W (replacing 180W), 30W (replacing 270W), 50W (replacing 450W), and 100W (replacing 1000W). These can also be used as flood lights in various settings.
Additionally, you can choose the colour temperature of the light emitted by the LED floodlight. We offer floodlights with 4000K (natural daylight) and 6000K (white light). We also provide solar security light options, which are ideal for environmentally conscious consumers looking for solar-powered security lights.
It is possible to mount a LED floodlight outdoors. If you plan to install a LED floodlight outside, it’s important to check the IP rating. The IP rating indicates how dust- and water-resistant the LED floodlight is. We recommend choosing an IP65 floodlight if you intend to mount it outside. This means that the LED floodlight is water-resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use as security lights for outside.
Our LED floodlights come with a standard 25cm connection cable. If you wish to extend this, it’s advisable to use IP68 cable connectors. This ensures that your cables are safely connected, allowing them to be used outdoors or in very humid environments.
A security light with sensor automatically switches on when movement is detected within the detection zone. This makes the LED floodlight with a motion sensor ideal for illuminating driveways or serving as anti-burglary lighting.
The LED floodlight with a sensor can be adjusted in three different ways:
Light sensitivity: Set the intensity of the LED floodlight.
Detection distance: The detection zone in which the LED floodlight will turn on or off.
Activation time: The duration the floodlight will remain on after movement is detected in the detection zone.
If you still have questions about our LED floodlights or are considering solar-powered security lights for your needs after reading this information, please contact our customer service. They will be happy to assist you in selecting the right LED floodlight for your specific situation.
