LED tube lighting is available in fewer types and sizes than standard fluorescent lights. In our range, we distinguish between two types of tube lights, identified by the codes T5 bulbs and T8 fluorescent tubes. These codes indicate the diameter of the fluorescent lamp tube. All tube lights come in the form of LED tube lights, also known as LED tubes. Your LED tube lighting is almost identical to your old fluorescent tube, but instead of being filled with harmful substances, it uses LED technology. Additionally, LED tube lights are much more energy-efficient than traditional fluorescent tube lights, allowing you to save up to 85% on your energy bill.
Installing an LED tube is very easy in your old fixture. You simply screw the LED tube into your fixture, and you’re ready to go! An LED tube lamp from Lightexpert.co.uk comes with an integrated starter.
Therefore, you don’t need to buy a completely new fixture if your old one is still in good condition. Consider switching to an LED tube and enjoy the benefits it offers.
LED tube lights offer many advantages. An LED tube is energy-efficient (up to 85% more efficient than your old fluorescent tube), has a long lifespan (approximately 40,000 hours), is durable, provides instant bright light, and pays for itself quickly. You should recover the cost of your LED tube in about 2 to 3 years due to its energy efficiency. Additionally, because the LED tube is so efficient, it significantly reduces CO2 emissions, which is also beneficial for the environment. In summary, the benefits are endless.
Would you like to learn more about the advantages of LED lighting? Check out our buying guide, which contains all the information about TL lighting and LED lights in tubes.
Of course, we cannot tell you exactly which LED tube you should buy. This depends on the specific requirements and preferences your tube light needs to meet. However, we can provide you with as much information as possible about the different types of LED tube lights.
The most important factors to consider are often the number of Lumens and Kelvins emitted by a lamp, as these determine the brightness and type of light your tube will produce.
Next, the size of your LED tube is important. Tube lights come in various sizes. The most common size is the 120cm LED tube. Following the 120cm LED tube, the 60cm tube is also widely used. The 150cm LED tube is another popular option. The size of the lamp naturally depends on the space you want to illuminate. For a large workshop, we recommend a 150cm LED tube, as you will need fewer lamps. For smaller spaces, such as an office, the 120cm LED tube is commonly used. For areas like your kitchen cabinet, a 60cm LED tube is recommended.
The possibilities for your TL lighting are endless. You don’t have to follow our suggestions; you can use your fluorescent tube or LED tube in any way that suits your needs.
